The best part about wedding planning is undoubtedly bridal shopping. Be it clothes, footwear, jewellery or anything a bride-to-be desires for her fairytale wedding, the designer brands that are popping up regularly in the market are making sure to keep her on toes. The Wedding Asia exhibition at, The Ashok, New Delhi was a perfect example of what an ordinary wedding needs to be to turn itself into a ‘dream wedding’.

The exhibition commenced on the 23rd of November’18 and witnessed some of the biggest designers of the industry showcasing their wedding collection for the fall/winter season. Our team made sure to give the brides-to-be a gala time by providing them with personal stylists, photobooths, cool games and a lot of other fun activities. The prominent colours for the season that we came across were the shades of green and the common style was of ruffles and feathers. Polki jewellery is still a favourite when it comes to the personal preference of every bride.

On the second day of the exhibition, a quick rapid- fire round was organized for the girls who are about to get married soon to add some quirk to the event. Some popular answers included Sabyasachi as the favourite designer, love for the big fat Indian wedding instead of a minimal one, coordinated outfits with the groom, natural makeup, destination weddings and being the fun-sassy bride. Not only this, three lucky girls were given gift hampers every day for gracing the exhibition with their enthusiasm.
Some of the brands stood out in the exhibition and were greatly appreciated by the customers. According to Prithviraj Jewels, the Polki-Choker is quite liked this season. Some of their necklaces are even inspired by Sabyasachi. Diamond Constellations believe strongly in the fusion style and had an amazing yellow and white diamond collection along with Tanzanites and Nature-inspired jewellery, most of which are limited editions. Vikas Chain based in Chandni Chowk had some jewellery for the grooms-to-be as well. According to Ritu Narang’s brand, trails and colours like yellows and greys are being loved this winter. Gold Threads by Nisha Ajmera (Mumbai) on the other hand believe that even though dark shades of green, blue, red, etc. are in this season, the classic pastels still continue to rock and shine. Ragya Design Studios and Duma Creations also agree to the same. The exhibition also saw a great collection of customized and embroidered juttis and Ruhaaniyat-Sacredly Beautiful made sure to live up to the expectations.

The final day on the 25th of November’18 wasn’t any less compared to the first two days as the exhibition experienced a lot of people flowing in to check out and shop for the latest designs and trends.

It wouldn’t be wrong to declare that Wedding Asia’s exhibition was an absolute success and was loved by everyone who attended it. We are looking forward to organizing more exhibitions in the near future and hoping to see you there with your loved ones wanting to be part of a beautiful experience.
